Fun stuff - Elizabeth Bennett as a Shaolin trained zombie killer. Gobbled like brains.
Picked up at this month's BX luncheon. Couldn't resist after reading the excerpts & first chapter. All other books pushed aside in order to devour this one NOW. Thank You dustyflint!!!
6/27/09: Argh! Too much Jane Austin & not enough zombies for my taste. Passing on to the BookCrossing group at lunch tomorrow.

Received at TOC lunch today. Thank you!
It's fun, but if you are going to make Asian culture a large part of the story, do the homework. The housekeeper in the estate where the master is fond of Japan appears in a kimono and bound feet. Apart from bound feet not being an item of clothing you can just put on, that's Chinese. And coy pond. I kid you not. Maybe ponds in that era were somewhat shy.
The best part is probably the discussion questions at the end.
Back to TOC for next victim.

Had to look it up - I had a double volume and read Pride and Prejudice but never got to Sense and Sensibility. At the time, I sort of felt that Jane Austen wasn't really my cup of tea, but I thought I'd probably give it another try someday...and I guess that time is here. Perhaps with the zombies in the mix it will be more to my taste.
This cover is a definite improvement, anyway. :p

Nope, still not into Jane Austen. Better with zombies, but mostly I just looked at the illustrations.
