I enjoyed listening to this in my car, although I did find some of the delivery a little laboured,I think his voice is a bit monotonous-sorry!

Thanks for the audiobook RABCK, waderwoman! My mother said I'm not allowed to play this within her hearing because she's not a Garrison Keillor fan. ;) I have heard bits and pieces of him on the radio over the years, so I think this will be enjoyable.
How young Garrison Keillor sounds on these tapes! It makes sense considering these are the first radio programs that put Lake Wobegon on the map. His anecdotes about growing up in a small town in America in the 1950s were amusing and poignant—a nice little slice of life.
