This hefty book was given to me by a friend. We trade lots of books, so at first I didn't think twice about it. But there was something odd about the way he gave it... and then I noticed that the book is published by a POD publisher... and then I read the author's bio... This is his first novel... and I began to suspect that THIS BOOK WAS WRITTEN BY MY FRIEND!

I came right out and asked him the next time I saw him, but he evaded the question and said, "Just tell me what you think once you've read it". ;) I confess, this is such a long book that I'm a little daunted, but I really feel like I owe it to him to see what I think of it.
