After a row with her boyfriend, roving newspaper reporter Rosie goes off to interview a woman who's lived on a local housing estate since it was opened in the 50s. It's also the location for a new reality TV show, The 1950s house. But as she steps through the door she finds herself back in time, back in the 1950s. But surely not ... this must be the TV show ... mustn't it?
Bust as the days go by Rosie realises that actually, this is no TV show, there are no cameras, this is really happening. She settles down to life in the 50s but begins to see weird parallels with her own life. Billy, a colleague at work, seems remarkably like her own boyfriend Will - but he's married, and to Carol, who is exactly like her best friend Caz. That doesn't stop Rosie falling in love though ...
Will she ever get back to the 21st century? Read on to find out!
An easy read with some good moments but too tame for me. The plot is very similar to the BBC series Life on Mars in many ways, but unlike Sam Doodha there who is forever questioning what's going on and trying to get back, Rosie seems to accept her situation way too easily!

Started it and then flicked through the middle swiftly and read the last couple of chapters. If you liked The Time Traveller's Wife do NOT read this. It does not in any way compare!
