I've always enjoyed Asimov's short stories much more than his novels. A short story is just long enough for his wit to shine without allowing room for the long-winded pretentiousness that mars his novels.

These stories feature a man who, with the aid of a 2 cm high demon, attempts to solve his friends' problems (and benefit himself in the process), but somehow only manages to make things worse.
