Darkly Dreaming Dexter

The Dexter TV Show has been the only Crime Drama I've ever taken any interest in, so I was delighted to find the original book is also excellent. Elegant, witty, gruesome and totally hilarious.
Can't wait to read the rest!

Read this one back in September.
Earok loves the tv show Dexter and also loved this book. I have only caught bits of the show but I really enjoyed this book.
Dexter is a very interesting character for someone who doesn't feel and is quite complex. A serial killer who only kills other killers, kinda controversial a subject for a series.
Roughly this book was what the first series of the show was based on, with some differences between the two. My favourite character (besides Dexter of course) would have to be Deb, Dexter's foster sister.
The humour and interesting characters/scenarios really set this apart from other crime type novels.
