I'm not sure how to describe how I felt about this book. Well written as usual and a good pace. Is Bill Tierney in other Fortunes Rocks books? I seem to recognise the name.

The first Anita Shreve I have read and I enjoyed it which is good as I have several others on the shelves!
A knock at the door is the beginning of the nightmare when Kathryn Lyons is told her husband's plane has crashed.
As details unfold the story becomes stranger. Could it really have been suicide? For her daughter's sake Kathryn is determined to prove this was not the case, even though the truth may be more painful.
The book was first published in 1999 and is now somewhat dated but it is an enjoyable read nevertheless.
