Purchased new, quite a few years ago, from a bookstore (I don't remember which one) in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

It's been a long time since I read this book, but one of the descriptions on the back cover seems to summarize it fairly well - "A tall tale, fairy tale, soap-opera romance, Mexican cookbook, and home-remedy handbook all rolled into one."

Was I ever excited to find the book at my favourite video store in Victoria! It was perfect timing, since I was looking for a good summer read to take with me on my cross-Canada voyage. Six days after finding the book, I left my beloved Victoria to return to my hometown of London, Ontario. Of course the book accompanied me on my journey, so it will soon be released 5,000 kilometers away from where I found it. The book is teaching me to enjoy the sensuous pleasures that can be found in the simplest of daily activities. And sex on horseback? Can you really do that??
