My husband told me I could register his books, so I am working on that. It is a good time to re-evaluate if we are keeping these books :)

I ended up listening to this book in October 2017: Finishing this book was painful...it is not that the writing is bad, or that the story is boring (although it is not a big page turner), I think overall, it was the reader. This is not a super long book, and yet, it was 33 chapters of about 45 minutes each on my audio files, and it felt it would never be done! Originally it was on cassette tapes (I know this because during the audio I was advised to continue listening on the other side of the tape). My husband is a big fan of John Irving, but I am wondering if that has more to do with the fact that the books take place in New England (where he grew up, and was reading these books), than with the fact the books are truly good.
