Als der geachtete Richter Oliver Garland überraschend stirbt, ist sein Sohn Talcott überzeugt, dass sein schwaches Herz den Tod verursachte. Doch warum wird Talcott ständig nach den »Vorkehrungen« gefragt, die sein Vater für den Fall seines Todes getroffen haben soll? Warum wird er verfolgt? Keine Ahnung, ob er's gelesen hat - jedenfalls lag's jetzt wieder auf MEINEM Schreibtisch!
Das Buch hätte so gut zur Bergabbau-Challenge 2011 (Monatsthema April: Etwas zum Thema "Spiel") gepasst. Ich habe damit angefangen, fand die Sprache für mich sehr ansprechend und habe mich schon gefreut. Doch nach einem Viertel des Buches habe ich letztendlich doch abgebrochen - ich mag einfach keine dicken Bücher, in denen alles ewig dauert und endlos geschwafelt wird.
Vielleicht bringt's jemand doch mal zu Ende. Würde mich interessieren, ob ich was verpasst habe.

Das war klasse! Spannend, unterhaltsam, anregend, gut zu lesen, wunderbar im Fluss. So darf ich Krimi sein.
