Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World

This wishlist book was a surprise from petaloka & family for my birthday. YAY! Can't wait to read it.
This book had a strange dreamlike feeling to it. I thought it was pretty cool, once I "got it". I'll be putting this in my Bizarre Bookbox.

Well, I tried. I read several chapters and had no idea what was going on, and furthermore, realized I didn't really care. It could be that I am either too impatient or too unimaginative to appreciate this book. I hope it finds someone who will love it.

In me, you found someone who will probably *love* this book. I do really like the surreal writing of Haruki Murakami and much look forward to reading this book. Thanks for releasing this trade paperback (c. 1991) at the meet-up in Westminster, melydia!

I read through page 161 (of 400 pages) of this book and got tired of it. Though I usually love writing by Haruki Murakami, I simply found this book too weird. Sorry. It must move on...
