How the bookring works:

* Someone will PM you for your address, PM them back and provide your address

* When you receive the book, please make a journal entry letting everyone know that you received it

* Put the book at the top of your TBR pile (under other rings/rays that arrived first)

* Read the book (take your time and enjoy the book, don't feel rushed to finish it)

* If it looks like it will take you longer than a month to read, please post an updated journal entry so that all concerned know that the book is not stalled. Again, please don't feel rushed to move it on but do keep us informed!

* When the end is in sight, check the book's journal and PM the next person to get their address

* Finish the book, make another journal entry and let everyone know what you thought of the book

* Send the book to the next person on the list (please use the cheapest shipping method available), make release notes (Controlled Release) or journal entry to let everyone know that it's in the mail

* At the end of the ring, last person please pm Liz-z for address and mail back.

Finally got to the post office yesterday and mailed this off to the first participant of take two of this book ring! Enjoy!

I just received this book and started reading it on the way into work. I'm on chapter 6 and love it! The voice of the narrator really pulls you in! More to come when I finish it and pass it on.

I loved this book and could not put it down - I am a sucker for books on elephants (think White Bone etc), and this had a great character in Rosie. I also enjoyed how the book was structured and the issue of aging. Great fun and great, warm read! The book goes on to the next person in the ring and I hope they enjoy it as much as I have!

Oops! I forgot to register that I received the book. Apologies. Water for Elephants travelled with me on my summer vacation to Greece and I've just finished up the final pages today. I really enjoyed reading it and learning about what circus life must have really been like...a lot more work than fun.

Received yesterday and started this morning! Thanks to liz-z for sharing and to LisaGriffith for sending along!!!

What a fantastic story! Once I started, I just couldn't put it down (obviously, since I've only had the book three days). The character studies, of both the people and the animals, were amazing and the story had me fully engrossed -- so much so I nearly missed my stop on the train. What happens to August had me actually gasping aloud. One of the best books I've read, ever.
