Received this via extremely kind BC member (LyzzyBee) after aching to read this for some time.
Finally read, I have to say that this book was as gripping as I had hoped it would be. A fascinating affliction and look into the human condition. Both loved and was saddened by the personal perspective of the book. Clichéd, but a true testament to the human spirit. Definitely worth a read.

I'm not sure what to make of this book. It's very hard to imagine being locked in, and what it would feel like. You also can't even begin to comprehend how difficult it must have been to both write and edit a book using solely communication with one eye. I am amazed by the hopefulness that Bauby manages to keep despite his situation.
Thank you for sharing this book with me.
