2 journalers for this copy...
I haven't read this book but I have another copy in my TBR pile so this copy is available.
This is going in time-traveler's bizarre bookbox.
Pulled this from the bookbox.
I liked the subject of this book. Assuming that the silk factories and hairdressing ceremonies are historically real, that aspect of the book intrigued me. But there was something about the writing that just didn't hold my attention. This was a book I picked up and read because I felt like I'd invested so much time in it already; not because I looked forward to sitting down and reading it.
I did not leave this in the Square. I am having trouble creating new release zones.
I left this on top of the mailboxes at the Staples shopping center. While I was doing it, I was also screaming, because there at my feet was a snake, wiggling ever so slightly, but enough to scare the bejesus out of me!!
Hope someone journals this book and makes my terror worthwhile.
