I visited my Husband in Houston, and as is traditional...while he works on Monday, I make a trip to 1/2 Price Books. This time I wasn't really in the mood to search for books on my wishlist, so I purchased a yard of books (in a box) - I did manage to find a few books from my wishlist, which nicely fit in the yard of books box for the shipping back home. This is one of the books from my wishlist.
An enjoyably scary story...with an ending I wasn't prepared for. LOVED IT....another winner from Laymon. (And now I want to read more Beast House stories...)
I never heard of this author, but with Dean Koontz and Stephen King writing comments, I thought it would be a nice try. Taking out of the book box that arrived today and I am replacing it with The Chin Kiss King by Ana Veciana-Suarez.

A woman learns that her ex-husband, a child rapist that was sent to prison for raping their six-year-old daughter, is released for good behavior. She grabs her daughter - now 12 - and flees. After a car accident, they are stuck in a small town that is infamous for its tourist attraction/frequent murder crime scene called the "Beast House."
Back at the Beast House, mother and daughter run into a Beast House survivor and the hired gun that is being paid to kill the Beast. Naturally, mother and hired gun fall in love within the day.
The story becomes strange where the women like to be sexually abused.
Yikes. I got my fill of the sexual abuse of children. I will skip the three (three!) sequels.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
We are overrun by hundreds of books...they are like socks and LEGOs...they just appear to multiply when no one is looking. As much as we wanted to read this book, with the volume on our TBR shelves we decided to pass them along to other BookCrossers. Enjoy! Hopefully we'll be able to read it another time around.
