Synopsois: 'A SPY. A KILLER. AN IMPOSTER. THREE EXTRAORDINARY HEROES. ONE UNIQUE NOVEL. In THE GLASS BOOKS OF THE DREAM EATERS; three most-unlikely but nevertheless extraordinary heroes become inadvertently involved in the diabolical machinations of a cabal bent upon enslaving thousands through a devilish 'process': Miss Temple is a feisty young woman with corkscrew curls who wishes only to learn why her fiance Roger broke off their engagement; Cardinal Chang was asked to kill a man, but finding his quarry already dead he is determined to learn who beat him to it and why; And Dr Svenson is chaperone to a dissolute Prince who has become involved with some most unsavoury individuals; An adventure like no other, in a mysterious city few have travelled to, featuring a heroine and two heroes you will never ever forget..' I loved this it was fantastic fun, a brilliant sexy adventure story. I thought Miss Temple's charater was absolutley great and I'm still craving a pair of green boots.

Well, it took me a while to get through this book... It wasn't bad, but not great either. I have read lots of reviews saying it would have benefited from being 200-300 pages shorter, and I tend to agree. When it takes a whole page to describe how a character has her tea, I do lose interest a bit. But the action sequences were very good, and I liked the three heroes (I'm especially fond of Doctor Svenson - and of course the green ankle boots). I'm glad I got a chance to read this book, though I think it will be a while before I seek out the sequel. Thanks for sharing, Shimmy-crazy! Will pass it on to the next reader as soon as I have an address. 20.08.09: Sent off to molekilby today. Sorry for the delay.
