A must-read for all who enjoy adventure and (historical) sci-fi literature and an absolute classic. Some parts of the story seem strange to us today because the facts have been scientifically proven wrong but from a literary point of view, it's still worth reading (and of course it's fun to see what Jules Verne imagined almost 150 years ago to be geologically plausible). It's going into daisyflower123's English Bookbox II.
This journey will end here and now (for a while), because my Shopgirl-NY152 is interested in reading it once. And yes, it is a must-be-read!

Thanks to Lady liberty for reserving this book for me, i'd wanted to read it for quite some time. It was good, though i was a little disappointed to be honest. i had expected a bit more - after all, it's supposed to be a 'classic' and a 'must-read'. maybe the english translation was not perfect, that would explain the endless repetitions (i should have counted the numerous repetitions of 'worthy' and 'hideous'). still, the story is nice and entertaining.
