A Pocket Full of Rye (Miss Marple)
3 journalers for this copy...
'Rex Fortescue, king of a financial empire, was sipping tea in his 'counting house' when he suffered an agonising and sudden death. On later inspection, the pockets of the deceased were found to contain traces of cereals.
Yet, it was the incident in the parlour which confirmed Jane Marple's suspicion that here she was looking at a case of crime by rhyme...'
Different cover - this edition HarperCollins 2008 with stylised green cover. Very good condition and found in the British Heart Foundation shop in Huntingdon for £2. I thought I had another copy lurking somewhere but in my laid back search to collect all of AC's works I grabbed this anyway. Then found I already do have a copy! Oh well, someone somewhere is getting a RABCK!
Read and enjoyed again over the weekend.
I did remember whodunnit but had temporarily forgotten some of the brilliant touches and the subtle style of a Miss Marple investigation.
Making AVL for someone else to enjoy.
This book will now travel along with Chich's audioring 'The Unexpected Guest' by Agatha Christie to Brunton11 as, well, originally a RABCK, but now a trade.
Hope you enjoy this one Alison :)
Will be posted either today (Tuesday 30/03/10)or tomorrow (31/03/10) from Brampton post office.
Arrived today - Many thanks. And no, you can never have too much AC :)

Another cracker from Agatha Christie. I've seen the TV adaptation recently and it's fair to see that it was a fair representation of the book.
Sending to pam99 as a RABCK.

I've read a couple of Agatha Christie's books this year, having recently 'rediscovered' her, and they're always great reads. Thoroughly enjoyed this!
