I don't normally read books of this genre, but for some reason I picked it up out of a pile sold to raise funds for an old school hall.
Told from a teacher's viewpoint it deals with her account of a child she taught who was a member of a 'behaviourally disordered' class. The teacher suspects that the child is subject to abuse, but isn't prepared for the horrific details the child reveals to her.
At times reading more like a Stephen King novel than a work of non-fiction, I found it absorbing, though I found the ending a little non-conclusive. However the teacher seems in no doubt about the truth of her story.

Posted to Costa Rica to meet it's next reader.
Thank you so much for the RABCK, this sure looks like an amazing read. And thank you for the lovely card too! :) Hugs from Costa Rica!
You're welcome! Hope it's worth the wait!
I'm not sure what to say about this book, other than it is an attention grabber from the first few pages. I know this is a true story, but it reads almost like fiction or at least at some point it makes you wish it were. If you like non-fiction, biographies or are interested in stories of abuse or psychological problems, but you can't be bothered with the "technical" stuff, this is a good book to read. I hope to get my hands on more books by this author. This one is now available for another reader.
