Knitting murder mystery!

This is a fun and interesting mystery about a knitting-related murder. We get to know the main character Ari and her close friends, but there's not much character development going on. The story mainly focuses on the dialogue between charcters and keeping the action moving. It's a good pageturner, and there is a new revelation at the end of each chapter which keeps the pace of the story going and makes you want to carry on reading. A quick and easy read, good for anyone with a love of crafts and knitting. There are also 3 free knitting patterns at the end of the book, suitable for knitters of any skill level.

This is the first bookring I've organised so thanks to everyone who replied and I hope you enjoy the books.
If you are a fast reader I'm sure you could get through both books in a week or two, but I know many of us have these things called "lives" that tend to get in the way, so I'd say that keeping for a max. of 4-6 weeks is reasonable.
PM me if there are any problems, other than that - HAPPY READING!

This was a fun read. I smugly thought I had figured out who did it, but a twist at the end proved me wrong!

I am now reading the second book in the series and will send them both on to NMReader as soon as I'm done.

Journal Entry 9 by NMReader from Herndon, Virginia USA on Friday, July 10, 2009
I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice cozy mystery.

The characters were interesting and well rounded. The story filled with interesting knitting and yarn references.

The plot was interesting with out being unfair and while I knew who the murderer was before I quite understood the why, I was pleasantly entertained and can't wait to read the 2nd book in the series.

This book arrived safely today along with Knit Fast, Die Young. I can't wait to start reading it. It's next up on Mt. Toobie.

I had a crazy week with very little sleep, thus had a hard time getting into this book. It reminded me alot of Monica Ferris' Needlwork series and also of Diane Mott Davidson's Catering series. I did figure out "who done it" early. I wished-well, I better not spoil it for anyone else:) I do look forward to reading the next one in the series.

an easy read, quite a list of characters, more tell than show, but it wasnt bad. This one and the second are heading out as soon as I get the address for the next in the ring. :)

Just caught in Ohio, it arrived with 3 other rings/rays today so I'll get it on its way as soon as I can. I keep my profile updated (weekly) so you can always see how close this is to the top of the TBR list.

Journal Entry 22 by sunfi from Alexandria, Virginia USA on Saturday, December 12, 2009
Well I finally got to this but I can't get into it. I don't care for the writers style, nor do I find the characters to be very sympathetic. I've been trying to get in touch with ladyhawked and I've had no luck, so I've just PM'ed chich to get her address. As soon as I have her address I'll have this on its way.

I have to say that I'd completely forgotten about signing up for this ring and didn't expect much before I started reading, as the last few cosy mysteries I've read were a bit boring. Well this turned out to be a very entertaining read! I enjoyed the "knitting setting" (I started knitting recently so it must have helped!) and the quick pace of the book. As has been mentioned before, this was quite a page-turner and I ended up reading it in one sitting:)

Thanks for sharing Kryssa!

I've already PMed Kirkles and will send her the book as soon as she gives me her address.

Finished this one late last night. I have to say the ending was a bit abrupt and it wasn't the best writing I've ever read, but I did enjoy the book. It was a nice light hearted escape. I'm reading a heavy book for my book club so this was just what I needed to give me a break. I read it so quickly that I'll start the second one today and hopefully get them in the post next week.

Dear All,

Thanks for your PM's letting me know that chucklesthescot's father is ill so she is not around at the moment. Unfortunately I have just posted them to cambridgelass who was next on the list.

Kryssa - I can't PM you from you page, so I hope you read this. Could you add chucklesthescott to the end of the list in case she still wants to read these? I'll PM her today with my apologies and telling her I've asked you to move her on the list.

Thanks,
Kirkles.

Just a bit of fun reading to pass a day or two, not to taxing. It took me back to my teenage years of reading point horror so that was good fun.

Just finishing off the other book.
