I don't remember if I got this from someone of found in a thrift shop....
From the back cover:
Sofia works in a gallery in Madrid, the young wife of an architect whose love for her has hardened into a passionate and destructive resentment. One night, she has a strange, sensual dream about metting her double.
When she decides to go for a swim the following day, by the side of the pool she meets Marina. The two are instantly, erotically drawn together, forging a love that is tender as well as tempestuous. When Marina announces she is moving to Rome, Sofia sees the perfect way out of her marriage. But will her pursuit of desire take her far enough away from her husband's dangerous jealousy?
---
Well, after many years I've had this book, I never got around to reading it and now I have.
It was kind of hard to get into. The author goes back and forth in time and it's sometimes hard to follow.
It's an erotic tale where as critics says, can rival The story of "O" and Anais Nin, at times even gruesome as De Sade. I found Sofia a bit naive in thinking that even if she used her credit card and not payed her parking tickets in Rome, her husband would never be able to find out where she was. It left me feeling ill at times, but I can understand the love Marina and Sofia had for each other.
