Had the day off course today so decided to spend the afternoon curled up in bed with a book.. the book was Florida Roadkill, and I hadn't heard of this author before though from the description I figured it would be quite humourous.
Well this is very dark humour with some very inventive ways of killing characters off. Some parts had me shaking my head in a did that just happen way.. I could see some people being offended by such a book. I liked the cameos of writers Carl Hiaasen and Dave Barry in the novel and the mention of a particular Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' lyrics at a clever part in the novel made me laugh.
I think I will take this one along to Thursday night's meetup.
