This has been on my bookshelf for many years but I never read it as a child - probably 'cos I wasn't keen on horses!
Read it especially so that I could release it (I can't release books without reading them first, no matter what the title - I might miss out on something!!) and it was actually quite good. More of an adventure than a 'horsey' book.
Set in wild Scotland with some great characters - the book was let down by some typing errors that should have been noticed before getting printed.

Given to the trainer at a Literacy Volunteer Training Session in Leeds as an introduction to BookCrossing.
