From the back cover: "Although business has been slow lately for PI Kinsey Millhone, she's reluctant to take on the case of locating Beverly Danziger's sister Elaine Boldt. It's a small matter that Beverly should be able to handle herself. So why is she enlisting Kinsey's services? Beverly claims she needs Elaine's signature on some documents so that she can collect a small inheritance. But the whole affair doesn't sit well with Kinsey. And if there's something she's learned in her line of work, it's to always follow your instincts..."
Finished reading this book yesterday and I was more engaged with this 2nd novel of Sue Grafton's than I had been with the first "A" book . . . so I'm glad I decided to give this author another try. The book is definitely light and quite easy reading, but I became more connected in this story to the main character Kinsey Millhone and it was a good book to read while on a plane flying home from Vegas after my holiday! Looking forward to reading the rest of the alphabet series.

Caught the book in hotel lobby in Ottawa, reading it as I travel, and plan to leave it somewhere in Newfoundland

book was a good read until near the end when it ran out of gas and pedalled too hard to catch up and finish. Unbelievable to be sure. I was dissappointed, but it did help me kill time travelling. If I had my time back I would have left it unfinished. Thanks to starrdust for the opportunity to join bookcrossing
