Interesting combination of the biographical and fictional account of Errol Flynn's time in Jamaica. The blurb says ' The Pirate's Daughter is a tale of passion and recklessness, of a mother's battle to protect her child, and of a nation struggling to rise to the challenge of hard-won independence'. The child is May, fictional daughter of Flynn and Ida. Set against the background of fragrant, exotic and at times primitive Jamaica this is the perfect armchair read.
