The second sequel to "The Chemistry of Death" follows the now-familiar Beckett pattern: A rather formulaic serial killer hunt, spiced up with stomach-turning descriptions of dead bodies in various stages of decomposition and modern forensic methods.
Plot-wise it's a step back from the clever "Written in Bone", which had a REAL plot twist at the end, but the science parts are as entertaining as ever.

Thanks faerie-glen :)
This arrived today.
Even if there are lots of rings here waiting... I will try to read this as soon as possible in order not to stall it too long.
I'm sure everyone is excited to read this.
... to be continued

12-April-09
The story in the beginning was OK. I liked the pathological details again. But the story was not overwhelming. Anyway, when I came near the end it got more and more exciting and at least I'm happy to give 7 points.

Will be sent on Tuesday after the national Easter holiday.
Enjoy!

The book arrived today. Thank you!
Although I have a few rings and rays here this book will be next, since for the other books I'm the last participant :)

I didn't like the beginning so much, it was a bit slow, partly even boring. But then it got better and I think the end was really exciting.

Edit May, 12th: Annieselan doesn't want to participate anymore.

A decent thriller. Found this book a bit grumesome at times.
I was not suprized by the ending (ie who the murderer was) as I worked it out half way through the book!

I posted it on to the next reader this afternoon!

Read this straight after book 2, and while it is a decent thiller, I prefered the other 2 in the series. I did guess the baddie!!

Now after reading the third book, I have to say, I like „Written in Bone“ the most.
I found the beginning slowly and laboriously, I missed a decent plot and I found the in and out of Hunters part at the investigation nerve tracking. But the end placated me. It was thrilling; I read the last pages all at once.

Thanks to faerie-glen for sharing.

Sincere thanks to LadyAmalie this was certainly a surprise. LadyAmalie went to the bother of searching out bookcrossers who wished for this book and lo and behold found me. I'm only delighted to receive it and see it is part of an international bookray so will be delighted to search out someone else who is wishing for it. Just finishing the Millenium Trilogy, slowing down on the last book as broken hearted there will be no more, however, will start this as soon as I am finished.

Thanks again LadyAmalie and there was no excess on postage!

I enjoyed this book and great twist at the end but only gave it a 7 because I guessed very early on which kind of ruined it - am now going to search for someone looking for this book and send it on its journey

Received as a gift from a fellow BookCrosser who saw this on my wishlist and kindly posted it to me( at quite a cost I might add--€4.85 from Ireland to UK).I have loads of books to read, but will try to read Becketts books sooner rather than later so that this gift can be passed on.
