Cassette Audio Bookbox Journal
13 journalers for this copy...
This journal will be traveling with the cassette audio bookbox. Please journal here when you receive the bookbox and again when you are ready to mail to the next person on the list.
You may take as many of the audiobooks as you like and replace with the same number of audiobooks. Please try to keep the bookbox no longer than 2 weeks. A list of the books that I put into this box can be found here, but there will probably be different books in the box by the time the box reaches you.
This bookbox will not be coming back to me, so I would appreciate it if the last person on the list will keep the box moving by posting in the forum for new participants. Thanks!

I got the box last week, but I've had some health problems that kept me away from home, sorry, to have taken so long to record the journal.
This looks like the book box of my dreams, lots of thrillers and mysteries, yum.
I havn't decided what to choose yet.
I have lots of extra audio books to add, so I'll be contacting the next recepents to ask what they would like added.

Sent this on its way to HI, all 21 pounds of it. Enjoy!
I went on vacation and this box was waiting for me when I got home! Lots of good stuff in here - I'll make my selections this weekend and try to get the box out next week.
I notice that one CD has made its way into this audiocassette box, but I won't discriminate against it. ;)
---
7/7/09: there was extra space in the box.
7/8/09: not any more. When I was taping the box shut I realized that it was not in good condition; there were several bad spots, so I ended up changing to a new box...which turned out to be somewhat smaller than the original! So I'm taking out more books than I originally planned, but I'm thinking of starting a new box in a couple of months once I've listened to some of these!
Filled the new box as full as I could but I'm taking out:
James Patterson: When the Wind Blows
Michael J. Fox: Lucky Man
Harlan Coben: The Innocent
John Grisham: The Innocent Man
Amy Tan: The Hundred Secret Senses
Nathan Philbrick: In the Heart of the Sea
Michael Crichton: Airframe
Umberto Eco: The Name of the Rose
Ken Follett: The Pillars of the Earth
Clive Cussler: Shock Wave
Michael Palmer: The Patient
Putting in:
Robert Schuller: If It's Going to Be It's Up to Me
Tom Clancy: Every Man a Tiger
Single-cassette radio dramas: Superman, The Shadow, and Have Gun Will Travel/The Lone Ranger
Anne Morrow Lindbergh: Gift From the Sea
David Morrell: The Fifth Profession
Erle Stanley Gardner: The Case of the Haunted Husband (Perry Mason)
Dean Koontz: Lightning
Vince Flynn: Executive Power
Michael Crichton: The Lost World
Robert Tannenbaum: Absolute Rage
Clive Cussler: Atlantis Found
Minette Walters: The Sculptress
John Wyndham: The Day of the Triffids
It's still going to be a heavy box..yay media mail!
I have PaulsBook's address and will send this out in the next few days.

Sorry for the delay - I finally got the postage together for this box and it went out today (7/15 - I forgot to set the time zone when I did release notes)
I will probably send out the ones that didn't fit in the box in a couple of months, so when I do I'll check to see if all of you are interested...
Edit: the box still weighed 21 pounds, so it must still be roughly equivalent to what I received, right? I mostly didn't want to wait until I could find a bigger box, but if anybody really wants one of the ones I kept let me know, and maybe I'll send you it to you as a RABCK. :)

And, thus, after getting this bookbox from Mikavr as offered through the RABCK forum, I will be the end of the line for this bookbox as we know it. However, here are my plans for its contents....
I will be taking one audiobook to listen to for myself.
I will pass a few audiobooks along individually to friends and fellow BookCrossers.
I will use the rest in a project BigKat and I are starting, where we're developing an audiobook shelf at the Chemotherapy treatment centere where my Dad did his Chemo. (Not an OBCZ, because patients will juse them during treatment, not take and journal or release them.)
