Product Descripton:

Nearing 30 and trapped in a dead-end secretarial job, Julie Powell resolved to reclaim her life by cooking, in the span of a single year, every one of the 524 recipes in Julia Child's legendary Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Her unexpected reward: not just a newfound respect for calves' livers and aspic, but a new life--lived with gusto.

It took me a while to get into this book. At the beginning of the book, the author seemed like a bitter, snarky person who really didn't have much to say except to make snide comments. But I suppose she grew on me and I began to enjoy her tales of trying to cook various obscure French meals. And, by the end, the author seemed like a bitter, snarky person whose snide comments, I quite enjoyed.

I'm sending this on to CharmedKim as she is the bookobsessed.com January RMTBRBB exchange recipient. Enjoy!
