Haven't read, to be released. Given to me by a friends parents :-)
I picked this book up off the table at the Convention on the Saturday night.
Started this book today. (Monday 7)
Allready halfway through, very easy to read book.
So much sadness in her life, I hope it turns out well for her by the end of the book.

Such hope was taken from them all by the dust and the devastation it caused, it would have been hard to keep going and hoping for rain.

A novel written in poems is unusual, but it works really well. The sparseness of the language wonderfully reflects the privations of Billie Jo's life in the depression dustbowl.

Got this at a meetup here with Futurecat, Meganh, Leith, bronwyna, Skyring and company. I remember when Discoverylover was reading this and thought it sounded interesting. I'll pt this on my TBR pile.
