A really nice and cute story, even if it does not have an happy end. Firmin, the intellectual rat with a big brain and small body, who wants to sing, play the piano, understand philosphy and menkind, stumbles through Boston and his life without really understanding what is happening and how to make himself heard or understood. In the end he is as alone as at the beginning without any future or propects...
