In this novel, lust is the first sin that is portrayed. About two hundred years ago Damien du Bourg, a selfish and spoiled gentleman, makes a pack with a demon. That is, a lifetime of servitude in exchange for immortality. What he doesn't realize is how good his life really is and regrets his request a month later, but the curse is not reversible.

In the present, Damien meets Marley and falls in love with her. Marley is a shy and very insecured woman who ultimately falls for Damien.

I thought this was a very easy read and quite a unique story (at least I haven't read or seen anything like this). I at first hated Damien's character for being such a chauvenistic pig but was glad that he turned out to be better. I enjoyed Marley's character because she was a strong female who stood for what she believed in. This was a decent read.
