The Cat Who Robbed a Bank
21 journalers for this copy...
This book I will give to as many of my friends as I can, to read then make a journal entry. After it has been to all my friends it will be put up for bookray or given to a friend who will repeat this process!
This book was given to my grandma from a lady she meet when she was in the Los Angles airport, who had just finished reading it and just asked if she would like it. My grandma knowing I love BC, read it and then passed it on to me to read and register.
At first when I read the back, it sounded really good. Then the start of the story made me unsure if I would like it, and then I got to the real 'Mystery' part and from then on I loved it!
A small country town is rocked by a murder of a visiting jewelry dealer, and the disappearance of the local caber-tossing contestent winner.
Jim Qwilleran a local jounalist, has a lot of mysteries to sort out, with the help of his two Siamese cats; Koko and Yum Yum.
This book has now been made a into an International Bookray!
(Which will always be open, unless it is lost.)

Sent onto Wandering-B in Hong Kong, China.
Enjoy!
Thanks again for sending this one out. I enjoyed meeting some new smart cats and some memorable characters. Sending out 16 March to the next reader. Enjoy!
Arrived today! Have a couple in front of it, but it won't be long. Thanks to Sfogs for sending it out!
rec'd it a couple of days ago. Sounds like a fun and quick read. I know what I'll be reading this weekend!!
thanks to Sfogs for starting this ray and Wandering-B for sending it my way [also thanks for the postcard and I think some sort of bookmark you enclosed with the book].
Finished it this weekend and I found it average for a crime novel. Don't get me wrong, in a way, it was different from what I usually read as crime novels.
Still it was entertaining, fun to see cats with some sort of power and a "nosy" journalist who likes to solve crimes. Maybe I'll read more of the novels in this series but it's not a priority for me.
Have pm'ed the next BCer in line and am waiting for the address to mail the book.
sent today to NMReader :)
It arrived while I was on vacation. It has been added to TBR and will be read ASAP
I enjoyed the book but it may be time to give up reading these. I am not sure if I have read too many in the series or if this one was not up ton par.
I had the mystery figured out pretty early. It was an easy read and somewhat fun to catch up with familiar characters.

Received from Hearthumper today. Many Thanks. I have a couple of other books to read first, but I will get to this as soon as possible and send it on to keep it moving.
I haven't read one of these stories in a very long time and this book reminded me why I love them so much. Pure escapism, with a bit of feline genius thrown in for good measure!
Thank you Sfogs for starting this bookray.

I enjoyed this little book as I have done with all the "The cat who..." books that I've read. High quality literature they are not, but fun and entertaining definitely. Koko's psychic abilities are completely whacky, and beyond belief, but that's all part of the fun!
Posting this to myrtillus in Finland this afternoon.
Thank you Sarahmuh for the Cat-book! I'll read it as soon as possible.
This was the second The Cat Who novel I’ve read. I think this book wasn’t as funny and exciting as The Cat Who Ate a Danish Modern which I’ve read before. Yet I somehow liked it a lot. I enjoyed reading about the social relations and the every day life in Pickax and the personal history of Qwilleran. And of course Koko and Yam Yam are so clever. This is certainly a book for cat lovers. Thank you Sfogs for sharing the book!
I'll send it to Annelis tomorrow.

I'll send the book to Annelis,
This criminal cat arrived in Kerava today. Sadly though I must leave him alone for a couple of days because I am flying to Denmark tomorrow.
I'll read the book soon.
Thank you for the book!
There are often some nice surprises in these Cat Who -books. This time I was delighted by the Sports of Scotland (pages 122-123). I used to watch on TV The Strongest Man of The World Competition. They did some crazy things like pulling trucks, carrying very heavy things and sometimes these sports of Scots. Finns used to do well in the competition. I wonder if they still arrange this competition. I have not seen any for some time.
Thanks for the book! I really enjoyed it.
This is my #96 in

Back in New Zealand! Thanks everyone!!
Re-starting the bookray!

In the post and on it's way to Nepal!!
Received safely--a side of the packaging was torn but thankfully the book was unscathed. I'll read this as soon as my current book is finished. Thank you also for the postcard and book labels, sfogs -- they'll be put to good use!
Finished this last week but forgot to journal (my friend is reading it at the moment, to get another reader for your challenge, Sfogs!)
I've never read any of this series before, and I guess it was not quite what I expected. It took me a long time to get into it--the first chapters were a bit too slow for me, full of lots of details that I had a hard time retaining because I didn't find them so interesting. I probably would have set it aside if it hadn't been a bookray that needs to keep moving. By the time it got to the 'mystery' I realized that this is one of those books more about the characters than about the puzzle. At the very end, when Qwill finds out more about his past, that began to interest me a lot more. I'm still glad I read this one. Thanks for this book ray, Sfogs!

This is part of Sfogs' bookray. Loaning it to a friend here in town who loves cats. I'm also pming the next participant on the list so I'll send it on as soon as my friend is done.
As she still hasn't journalled it (though she did read it) I thought to let you know that I mailed it off to FrancesinSA at the end of last week. Writing JEs is one of my favorite things about BC so I guess it's hard to get why everyone else isn't as into it as I am :). But she did read it and enjoy it, and I got it back from her quickly to mail. Thanks, Sfogs, for organizing this bookring! Have a good one!
This book arrived today. Thanks lils74 for posting it to me.
This is the 23rd book in The Cat Who... series and the 5th one that I have read. It was interesting to find out more about Qwill's parents and of course I love reading about Koko and Yum Yum. Does anybody know if Lilian Jackson Braun is still alive? There are conflicting reports on the internet. If she is still alive, she will be well into her nineties.

It's now on its way to nancynova in the USA.
arrived today. Looks like a nice one to intersperse with the heavier reading one that also arrived today (The rings/rays are like static cling - they all stick together!)
Editted to add: came with a lovely postcard on England - warning - I'll come visit whenever I decide to cross the pond! It looks so nice there!
Will j/e again when I start the book.

This book has finally landed down under in Australia which is only a hop, skip and jump across the Pacific from where it all started in NZ.
