I received this book, written by the man who inspired the film Hotel Rwanda, as a Christmas gift.

8 out of 10

I saw the movie Hotel Rwanda when it came out, so I knew this story, but Rusesabagina's account of how his country went mad delves into the history of the Hutu-Tutsi conflict in a deeper manner. It's stunning how little those of us in the West knew or cared about the genocide during the three months it was happening. He may consider himself an ordinary man, but what he did during that horrible time was extraordinary.

At the moment, the book joins my available stack.
