I'm not a religious person, but I like Anne Lamott, so I wasn't sure what I would think of this book. It was excellent. Some of it was about faith-related themes, but really it was just about being human. It was warm, funny and wise.

What a wonderful suprise in my mailbox today! Thank you so much for this book that I didn't even know I wanted to read until it arrived. ;P Anne Lamott is a new author for me and after reading the description and ifyouknew's JE, I can't wait to read it. Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise! Doing the happy dance!
I am keeping my resolution to read my BC books first, so I must apologize for letting this one sit for a year on my shelf. Time sure flies as we get immersed in life and books.
I must say that had I realized this was such a good read, I would have read it immediately! lol. It was such an easy read. I thought it would be a bit more faith related but was very happy to discover it was more of little life lessons we learn along the way. I enjoy Lamott's style and found myself both agreeing and understanding her quite a bit. I am glad she has shared these with us.

I was surprised that this was not on anyone's wishlist! I know this is a popular author so I am taking this as a chance to wild release it and hopefully introduce someone to the fun of BookCrossing. To me, this site is not only a place to share books but its also a big book club discussion. The journal entries are fun and the forums are filled with interesting posts. Okay…I’m not sure what the proper BookCrossing etiquette on this is but I released this book at my local bank and it sat there for over a month. In the interim, I have discovered that a BookCrosser is interested in reading this great Lamott book. So, I am catching my own release to send it off again.

This book is more about life than specifically about religion, and much of the wisdom hit home for me right now. Thanks so much, dvg, for retrieving this book and sharing it with me!
