I can't believe it took me three years to get to this book. And my "to be read" shelves are not that full!! I guess I spent a longer time being distracted by "chick lit" than I thought. ;o)

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was nice to get a working vet's perspective on patients, pets, and the ties that bind them. And the bottom line he reiterated throughout the book was, I felt, that aspect of our responsibilities to take care of every aspect of our animal's lives. They are innocent and, in some ways, delicate creatures who need us. We need them, too.

I'm going to send this off with a friend on Sunday (with some other books) before we go into Philadelphia for the afternoon.
