The Time Traveler's Wife

From the back of the book:
A most untraditional love story, this is the celebrated tale of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who involuntarily travels through time, and Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry and Clare's passionate affair endures across a sea of time and captures them in an impossibly romantic trap that tests the strength of fate and basks in the bonds of love.
I actually already own this book as part of my PC, but my sister (Moody-Blue) has it on her TBR. So when I found this on the book-trading shelf at my local coffee shop, I decided to snag it. I'd like to re-read it before the movie comes out in 2009, and then maybe I'll send it out as a bookring :)

I'd forgotten how much I love this book. It's such an unusual story, yet the author makes it believable ... and not only that, but it is an adventure, a love story, a comedy and a tear-jerker all in one. It's amazing to me how the author can take an utterly non-linear story and make it seem so well-put-together. It's also a very good book for a book club, as it has so many things that can be mulled over, discussed and disputed (and the reading group guide in the back is really helpful).
This book has always been in my top 10 books that I recommend to people when they say "I need a good book; what should I read?", and since this is a duplicate copy, I think I'll start a bookray with it.
