Picked this up in a charity shop today or rather it jumped out at me! 50 actions to change the world and make you feel good. We Are What We Do is a Community Links project (registered charity number 1018517). Community Links tackles the causes and consequences of social exclusion in east London and shares the local experience with practitioners and policy makers nationwide. We believe in acting local and thinking global. Everyone who has contributed to the book has done so for free. Money raised from the sale of the book will be used to cover the costs of production. This means that the book is worth double, triple, possibly even quadruple the money you've paid for it. Should we re-print the book, money raised from sales will be used by Community Linke to fund other We Are What We Do projects. For further information about We Are What We Do, or to make comments or suggestions, please visit www.wearewhatwedo.org For further information about Community Links, please visit www.community-links.org

Journal Entry 2 by madmadge from Christchurch, Dorset United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 10, 2009
An amusing book that talks a lot of sense in an easy to read way. I didn't journal it when I read it cover to cover so I've just had a quick flip through before sending it on its ring and, now it's leaving me, I wish I'd paid more attention to it at the time. That's the way it goes. Never mind, with a bit of luck it will wend its way home to me again at the end of the ring. Safe journey little book and I hope you all enjoy it. Here's the ring: 1. kirstykat - Barnet, Herts 2. kryssa - Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset 3. Scruffykaz - London 4. wickedlazy - Wickford, Essex 5. mazzlestar - Leeds, W Yorks 6. k256 - Arnold, Notts 7. birmingham-rose Lichfield, Staffs 8. bookguide - The Netherlands 9. NMReader - Albuquerque, USA

Journal Entry 9 by wickedlazy from Wickford, Essex United Kingdom on Sunday, May 31, 2009
This is a clever book - lots of little things, that if enough of us decide to do and implement in our lives really could make a difference. Some of them I'm already doing - Action 33 of course :) - recycling books! Action 31 I've been doing for years and have taught my kids that you don't need a tap running while you clean your teeth. Some of the other suggestions I've taken to are Action 37 and Action 43 - in fact at work we have now all changed our printer settings so that we use both sides of the paper as default. These little things are so, so easy to do every single day and if enough of us do them, then it will change the world. For only a Fiver :) I'm going to get Mr Wicked&Lazy to read this and will PM the next in line for their address today. ETA:- 17 June and no reply from Mazzlestar, I will try K256, the next on the list.
