I bought this book in a lovely little bookstore on the Goethestr. in Berlin (Charlottenburg) when I was there for a few days and ran out of books. I read it at home and quite enjoyed it. Some of it is a bit over the top and you can see most of the plot turns coming miles away, but still, I enjoyed it. The book is well written and you just want to keep on reading, so all in all, it's a very good book that would be excellent holiday reading and I would definitely recommend it to other people.

Journal Entry 4 by PepeLePew from Sarajevo, Sarajevo Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday, February 22, 2009
Fantastic tale, told just the way I like it. So much more than just a love story, it's full of action and intrigue. It's also a story about two of the most interesting countries in the world: Russia and China. The style of writing is also excellent. Highly enjoyable. Apparently there will be a sequel soon and I can't wait to lay my hands on it. Thank you, Rapturina, for granting me this wish :) Reserved for Kiri, who picked it out of Historical Fiction VBB on bookobsessed.com
