And again I could not resist the real bargain at Vebi (3 books just 1 Euro) *sigh* who could have resisted, honestly?

edit 12.12.2008: Already read. Yeah, SOMEtimes I am quite quick, ain´t I? (o;
I DID enjoy the read, especially because it confronted me with a suvject, I do not want to really deal with: My own strange feelings! I would feel rather odd, dealing with so called mentally disturbed people. I would not know how to behave and would therefore feel highly uncomfortable. I realized while reading this book, that I really could not have acted the way Mari and her family did. I am too impatient with people (young or old) who keep telling always the same and do not react towards others but live within their own world. I am too impatient to try and find a way to such people. After having read this book, I started to think about this topic intensely for the first time. Thus I highly recommend this book. Makes you think. Rethink. Think a bit more about how YOU would react.

Wow, this book spent such a long time on my bookshelf. But now it's time to travel. It's such a sweet book and I really enjoyed it!

I will leave it on the bookshelf of the Biology Department at the University of Utah.

Very much enjoyed this book (though I guess I am quite a bit older than the age range). It's well-written; the characters are developed enough to come to understand them, the story itself made me think, laugh, and also made me a little sad, because it reminded me of a couple of dear loved ones and the problems they have been trough. Although I would normally happily hold on to this book, it's more fun this time to let go of this precious little gem. I am not leaving it to be found by the next stranger, but instead am sending it to my niece in Europe, just to see where it will travel from there.
