Historical fiction set in the Italy 1492.
Got this book from fellow Perth BCer Magray :)

This was pretty disappointing. I realize that with historical fiction, liberties will be taken with facts, but I felt the author went a bit too far in some aspects, in the story she was trying to tell. I also found myself not liking nor caring about the main character - always a bad sign for the reader, especially when the story is told from this character's first person perspective. I was hoping for a rich and clever story but ended up getting a bit of a bodice ripper.
