Journal Entry 1 by Josephine79 from Parthenay, Poitou-Charentes France on Sunday, November 23, 2008
I have read a fair number of Philippa Gregory's novels and although this one is meticulously written and researched I must admit to not enjoying it as much as some of the others - the best part was the second trip to Virginia - I just had to keep turning the pages, but towards the end it began to feel a bit too much like a History lesson, although having said that, I learnt quite a lot of things I never knew or had forgotten, and the perspective on historical events is certainly interesting.

How strange. I completely missed this had a bookcrossing label when I got it so even registered it as a new copy. Now that I'm giving it away, I noticed it had a BCID and I never journaled it.
