"An intellectual blockbuster...Dense, packed with meaning, often startlingly provocative, the novel is a mixture of metaphysical meditation, detective story, computer handbook, introduction to physics and philosophy, historical survey, mathematical puzzle, compendium of religious and cultural mythology, guide to the Torah, reference manual to the occult, the hermetic mysteries, the Rosicrucians, the Jesuits, the Freemasons, - ad infinitum.... Intriguing." Publishers Weekly

7 out of 10

Wow. This book took a long time to read due to its density. It kind of makes The Da Vinci Code seem like the comic book edition of this book. Like my wife, I was unhappy with the ending.

It's been offered to Leukonoe

I have read Brown's Angels and Demons and Eco's Name der Rose, so I'm quite looking forward to this book. Thanks a lot for sending it over, Cliff1976!

8 out of 10

I finished this book on the weekend. It is very entertaining, and semiotics and all the Eco stuff shines through the text all the time. But yet sometimes it lacked a bit in overall control. I really loved the passage about the newsstand!

I am going to find a good new home for this book asap and thank you all again for sharing it!
