A collection of short stories by Margaret Atwood.

I don't know what to say about this book. I find it hard to comment on so many different stories. Some were interesting, some a little bit boring, some puzzling. I love Atwood's style, though.

This book goes next to Lukutuoli, who won it in my rabck-draw!

Thank you so much, Polenka, the book has arrived! I've always enjoyed Atwood and I was happy to notice, that the letter size in this book is perfect, big enough, for a 47-year-old reader :)

Beautiful stories by Atwood again, I liked the characters and atmospheres in most of them, although there were lots of melancholic tones in these novels. I feel I should re-read some of these stories, but I won't arrest this book in my bookshelf any longer...

This book has been on the road for a while. Making its way slowly around the world now safely landed in Australia.

As far as Margaret Attwood reasonably accessible short stories maintaining a good level interest. As with short stories some are better than others.

I have enjoyed a number of Atwood's stories and this book needs to move on between BC'ers.

A book that has travelled so much must be read and passed on and I'll take it to Sydney.
These 10 short stories follow growing up (maturing) in the mid twentieth century. If you are too young to know the sixties to eighties, or before, you can still feel the development of the characters. While the themes may be dark all of these stories have an inner kernel of truth that both you and the characters cannot escape. Time goes by fast, change happens, choices have to be made but it is ultimately you that has to live with the consequences. However, I have read better stories by Margaret Atwood and found these disappointing, verging on boring.
