The *only* benefit of having my friends leave the country often is that I inherit their bookshelves as the known 'bookie' in the group. This one came from the bookshelf of Jodie and Richard who are moving back to Australia to set up shop in Perth and (we suspect) to get hitched sometime soon! Household consensus was that Dave left this book behind when he moved out so thanks Dave.

I've had a mixed reaction to the few Pratchett books I've read. The busyness and confusion (which Pratchett fans obviously love) in his writing often drives me to despair when logically trying to follow the story. Guess this a fault on my behalf and not on Terry's. Thats what a Pratchett fan told me anyway :)

3 out of 10

Okay, so I've read my first Tery Pratchett and I don't think I'll bother with the rest of his work. I must be missing something because I just didn't "get" it, I enjoyed some of the humour but even up to the last few pages I was still not sure whether I wanted to carry on reading.

7 out of 10

This was my first Pratchett book also, and I really liked it. I loved the character of Death, and the tongue-in-cheek humor kept me amused.

Reserved for Any Book Will Do relay.

Picked up today from the post office - the hard-cover is really great and as this is one of my favorite TPratchett books I am going to keep it for the time being as part of my PC. Thanks so much RayneQueen.
