6 out of 10

The 2008 Dirk Pitt novel... (By the way, book # 666 I've registered).

Well I'm a bit disappointed. Of course, there is action, crime and and and, but to be honest it lacksthat most sparkling adventure that I've come used to when reading Clive Cussler. And it has nothing to do with the cold arctic weather!

I'll make a bookray with this one too. It's a hardcover...

Received today - thanks book-man-8 for sharing another of your books! My 11-year old daughter also liked the postcard - she pinned it to her bulletin board. I have one book in front of this so should be able to get to this one in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it!

7 out of 10

I quite enjoyed this latest Cussler novel! As in all of his books, it was a page-turning adventure. In this one, Dirk Pitt and NUMA save the world from an evil Canadian energy mogul and along the way find a way to stop global warming! As usual the events were somewhat far-fetched and included the usual coincidences but it was full of action and interesting ideas. I also really found interesting the information about Franklin's lost expedition in the 1840's in search of the Northwest Passage. I always learn something new when I read Cussler's novels.

Thanks again book-man-8 for sharing another great story!

I will be mailing this to southernfryed today as a RABCK since LindyLouMac wanted to be skipped.
