As the other members of my book club will tell you, I'm not a huge fan of Jane Urquhart's writing. I find her to be terribly earnest and lacking in humour.
However, I know she is popular with many readers out there, so I will release this book into the wild soon where I'm sure it will land in the hands of a more appreciative reader.

Just picked this up at our Book Crossers meet-up last night. It's in my "to read" pile. So I'll write more after I've read it. Don't hold your breath... it's a big pile!
Finally found the time to read this one! I am not a huge Urquhart fan but the multigenerational tale intrigued me. It is a story of hope & longing. I enjoyed the historical time frame & the specific references to certain street names in Port hope & Ottawa. I will release it at our Book Crossing meet-up tonight.
