'Tis
5 journalers for this copy...
'Tis is a sequel to Angela's Ashes, and this copy was screaming to travel in the shelves of my favorite charity store in Cork. I read Angela's Ashes last year and liked it a lot, so bought this one for bookcrossing purposes - hopefully it will meet many many readers on its way around the world. :)
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Given to Delfinnetti & friends :) hopefully this book will meet many appreciating readers on its journeys.

Journal Entry 4 by delfinnetti from Netphen, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Wednesday, April 14, 2010
In preparation for the big convention in Amsteram I went through my Mount TBR (stored in 4 cupboards I have to admit, and by now numering more than 400 unread books). I picked "Angela´s Ashes" and this one up with a bad concience - it has been here for SO long unread. So I started to read "Angelas Ashes". I didn´t get very far, I have to admit... Just not my kind of book, though I propably should read it to learn more about history (and that part of history I know nothing about!). Well, I just can´t make myself...
Sorry for keeping the book for so long, I´ll take it to Amsterdam along with "Angelas Ashes".

Journal Entry 5 by delfinnetti at BookCrossing Anniversary Convention 2010 (Theater Griffioen) in Amstelveen, Noord-Holland Netherlands on Wednesday, April 14, 2010
I don't think I spoke to Delfinnetti at the convention, but I'm glad I picked up this book from the table. I read 'Angela's Ashes' a couple of years ago and I found it profoundly shocking to think that people were living in such abject poverty in Ireland at the time my own parents were growing up. I shall be very interested to read what happened to Frank McCourt later in his life.
I much preferred 'Angela's Ashes'. This whole book seems to be rather self-centred. Entertaining, but not memorable enough, although the tales of classroom teaching are well worth it. I'm sure that Frank McCourt would have made a great bar-room raconteur, but I'm not sure I would have liked him.
