The Famous Five are Julian, Dick, George (really Georgina), Anne, and Timmy the dog. Together again for the last three weeks of their summer holiday, the Famous Five have an American scientist's daughter thrust upon them while her father works with Uncle Quentin on a secret scheme. Berta herself is tiresome at first, but squabbles are forgotten in the rush of events, which end with Dick and Julian following a trail which leads them to an old house—and pandemonium! One of several books by Enid Blyton that I picked up from the Oxfam Shop in Winchester a couple of years ago. Now I'm passing them along to a fellow BookCrosser. |
