Heute aus dem Briefkasten gefischt. Es ist ja auch noch auf Englisch! *jubel* Und ein echt dicker Schinken. *vorfreu*
Vielen vielen Dank deeana, für meine erste Wunscherfüllung! :-)
17.11.10: Inzwischen gelesen.

The book is as a RABCK on it's way to Oedde. I hope she'll enjoy it. :-)
Thank you for this surprise RABCK, wildboarhunter!
I remember that you once said you would send it to me when you had finished it. But I have to admit that by now I have my own copy of this book - I feel really bad now! I erased it from my wishlist when I bought it months ago. It's so nice of you to send it to me, and now I won't even read it :( I always leave Irving books for special occasions and I don't think there will be any in the near future, and then I might as well read my own copy...
But, hoping you're not angry about all that, it's not such a bad thing after all! I will pass on the book when I find a reader - I already have somebody in mind. I'll keep you posted.

I have posted in the forum to set this up as a bookray. It's on so many wishlists, I'm sure it will work. Hopefully, this book will be read a few more times this way.

3. jax987654321 (UK)

This is one of the books by John Irving I have not yet read. I will try to get to reading it shortly. There are two other rings ahead of it but I will see that it will move again quickly.
Edit 19.1.11.: What a great book. I just loved the way everything fell into place at the end. You know what was going to happen but not how. The expression "The Enemy within" came to mind.
This will go off to the next reader latest tomorrow.

Just received as part of a book ring, have a book ring that I've just started and an open uni assignment to do, so this will be read after the bookring! I have read the first few lines and it looks like a book that I will enjoy. I am reading it as it is the next book that I haven't read in the 2003 BBC top 200, but am pleased to see that is also on the top 1001 list as well, so will kill 2 birds with one stone!
I found this quite hard going at times and the chapters are so long, but overall I enjoyed it and it had a really surprising ending. Lots of food for thought here. Well worth reading

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Off to the next person in the ring/ray.
Received this book a few days ago, but only just had chance to journal it. Thanks for sending on and organising everyone :) I have exams over the next few weeks, but as soon as they are over, I will be starting this book, hope this is okay. The reviews on here are very intriguing, very much looking forward to starting this.
I finished this book on Wednesday whilst I was on holiday :) It was amazing. I really loved it and got into it pretty much straight away. I liked the writing style and the flow of the story and the characters (sorry to be over the top but this is the best book I have read this year). Thank you very much for sharing this book :-)
I PM'd AngelChild but she asked to be skipped, so am off to PM the next in the list.

As the two remaining participants in the ray wanted to be skipped, I have passed the book to my sister to read. If, or when, the ray gets more participants, I will pass the book and continue the ray :-)
Received from my sister with a high recommendation. I really like the look of it with the Armadillo on! Thanks wal-89.
I'm sorry to say that this book wasn't for me. I did finish it but found it a real struggle with the long chapters. I couldn't get into the story and got frustrated with the capital letter usage! I did like how everything came together in the end and was pleased to have finished it. Now giving back to wal-89.
This book is now back with me and is temporarily on my permanent collection list, until someone joins the ray or I find someone else to read it :o)
