6 journalers for this copy...
Welcome to Bookcrossing! Please make a journal entry just to let us know this book's been caught. Maybe you'll want to read it but if not, just pass it along to a friend or wild release it again. Thanks - I hope you enjoy this site.
I've had several copies of this book at one time or another - but I never seemed to be in the mood to read it. I found this hardcover copy at the used bookstore and decided it will be my holiday read this year.

This made me laugh quite a few times. I love his sense of humor! I'm going to hold on to this for the Bizarre Bookbox.
Journal Entry 3 by time-traveler at Bizarre Fiction Bookbox, A Bookbox -- Controlled Releases on Friday, July 31, 2009
I was just thinking this morning that I would like to read something "Christmasy" and then this was in the bizarre bookbox...so I had to take it.
Loved this book. zombies, crazy lady with sword, pothead cop, dead santa,a stupid angel, vulgar language..this book has everything you need for a funny, good read. It also had Tucker Case and Roberto the fruit bat who were also in "Island of the sequined love nun" which I enjoyed.
sending to pritzkit as part of an RABCK bookbox.
Received as part of sweetsangria's generous RABCK. Thanks to time-traveler for setting it free and to sweetsangria for moving it in my direction!
What a bizarre book! I enjoyed reading it on Christmas but it sure was strange.
Will be bringing to the DC convention.

Welcome to BookCrossing!
There are many great ways to enjoy this experience, but the basic premise is that we register books, "release" them into the world and then follow their progress as they pass from reader to reader. By finding this book, you've now joined it's story!
Please take a moment to register your "catch" and if you want to, you can make another journal entry with your comments when you are done reading it. Then, whenever you are ready to send it on its way, make a journal entry if you are giving or sending this book to a known person, or a release note if you are leaving it “in the wild” again for anyone to catch. Then watch its journey. You’ll be alerted by e-mail each time someone makes another journal entry.
Joining is optional (you can journal as an "Anonymous Reader") but be assured that your information is confidential (you are known only by your screen name and no one is ever given your e-mail address), free, and spam-free.
I hope that you will enjoy this book and the BookCrossing experience!

got at wrap it up book buffet at the world convention based on first sentence alone. I have never read this author before so should be interesting.
Picked up at the BC-in-DC holiday party as part of the "first line game". This is an excellent book for the game -- as is evident by the fact that it has been used for it more than once. Both the author's warning and the first line of the actual text are great:
Warning: "If you're buying this book as a gift for your grandma or a kid, you should be aware that it contains cusswords as well as tasteful depictions of cannibalism and people in their forties having sex."
First line of chapter 1: "Christmas crept into Pine Cove like a creeping Christmas thing: dragging garland, ribbon, and sleigh bills, oozing eggnog, reeking of pine, and threatening festive doom like a cold sore under the mistletoe."
I've read this but the boyfriend hasn't so it's great to have a copy for him to read. Thanks again!

I have enjoyed the other Christopher Moore books I've read, so I brought this home from today's BC-in-DC meeting to read, even though I really don't need any more books in my TBR mountain range.
